Lavon "Bubba" Sheffield, Jr.

Mr. Lavon "Bubba" Sheffield, Jr., 61, of Albany, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2022, at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Steven Youngblood and Rev. David Cromie officiating. Following the funeral, Mr. Sheffield will be laid to rest in Floral Memory Gardens.

Born August 7, 1961, in Albany, he was the son of Lavon Sheffield and Myra Bragg Sheffield. In the 80’s he worked as a radio host for K Country 101. Lavon worked for 24 years as a Senior Officer Assistant and Limited Partner with Edward Jones. He was affectionately known as “Sugar bear” and “Uncle Bubba” and all his family and friends considered him a gentle giant. He was also known as the “Candyman” as he loved passing out candy to all the children at church. A loving son, brother, and uncle he will be greatly missed. Bubba was preceded in death by his brother, Tony L. Sheffield. In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his sister, Kimberly Vidal and Pedro of Albany; nieces, Linda A. Reno and Phil of Dennison, TX, and Christy Marie Sheffield of Donalsonville; nephew, Pedro Vidal and Julie of Pelzer, S.C.; great-nieces, Leila Reno and Lydia Vidal and great-nephews, Codie Reno, Remington Reno, Will Prichard, and Lucas Vidal.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions can be made to Willson Hospice House at 320 Foundation Lane Albany, GA 31707.
