Willard Wayne Thornhill

Willard Wayne Thornhill, 80, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Willson Hospice House.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Liberty Baptist Church. Dr. Charlie Rouse and Rev. Richard Parker will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.

Born May 31, 1943, in Albany, Mr. Thornhill was the son of the late Ferma and Thelma Brown Thornhill. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy and retired from Civil Service at the Marine Corps Logistics Base of Albany. Mr. Thornhill enjoyed woodwork, NASCAR, fishing, traveling, working on old cars, and tractors. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 57 years, Faye Alberson Thornhill; 2 sons, Jeffery Wayne Thornhill of Albany, and Robert Paul Thornhill of Sylvester; 3 grandchildren, Jason Thornhill, Blake Thornhill, and Taylor Thornhill; and great-granddaughter, MaKenzie.
