Mr. Aaron Jack Hatcher, 80, of Albany, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Palmyra Medical Center. Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. Hatcher will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Reverend Chris Hall and Reverend Jerry Cooper will officiate, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Born December 5, 1929 in Albany, Mr. Hatcher was the son of the late Cecil Hatcher and Willie Bateman Hatcher. Jack was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, was a former Gideon, owned El Lobo Hairstyles in East Albany and was a barber since 1954. He enjoyed fishing and had a special love for his grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Mrs. Joann Moore Hatcher; sons, Ricky Hatcher and his wife, Kay of Leesburg, David Hatcher and his wife, Karen of Albany; great-grandson that Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher raised, Tyler Purvis of Albany; grandchildren, Donald Hatcher and his wife, Ariun, Trisha Russell and her husband, Josh, Bobby Joe and her husband, Ryan Thomas, Dawn Lawson and her husband, Mack, Chris Hatcher and Kirsten Bryan; additional great-grandchildren, Madison, Keri, Joseph, Callie, Brady, Conner, Colten and Leland. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
