Alfonso Lavant

Mr. Alfonso Lavant, 52, of Leesburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. A private family only visitation will be held at Hall & Hall Funeral Home. Born December 16, 1967, in Newark, NJ, Alfonso was the son of Joel Lavant and Lynette Knighton. Alfonso was a hard worker and spent his years in the construction business. His passion was music and he listed to different genres, all of which he loved and felt with his heart and soul. He loved his wife and children dearly and was known as a family man. He enjoyed getting in the kitchen to cook and prepare meals for his family, and was of the Baptist faith. A beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynette Knighton; sister, Phyliss; and step-son, Jeffrey Nunley. Survivors include his wife, Robin Riddle Lavant of Leesburg; his father, Joel Lavant; children, Santana Cooper, Sanquesha Lavant, Alfonso Lavant, Jr., Antione Cooper, Christopher Lavant; step children, Lisa Nunley and Timothy Nunley; siblings, Willie Lavant, Cedric Hodge, Darlene Jordan, Darrell Jordan, Jonah Lavant, Val Gaines, and Michelle Meritt; grandchildren, Jordan, Jamarion, Lavender, Joel, Cameron, Nylan, Addison, Aden, Creedon, Brooklyn, Eternity, Na’Llajea, Naryiah; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
