Alice Frederika (Klintworth) Clevenger

Mrs. Alice Frederika Clevenger, 91, of St. Marys and formerly of Albany, passed away, Sunday November 15, 2015 in St. Marys, GA. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11: 00 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Robin Chaplin will officiate. Born December 31, 1923 in Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Clevenger was the daughter of the late William Fredrick Klintworth and Sally Morris Klintworth. She retired from Merck and Company and was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed crocheting and made many baby booties for every baby she came in contact with. She loved animals, rescued many and raised them with much love. Her sweet spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clevenger was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Clevenged and siblings, George Klintworth, Leroy D. Klintworth, Jimmy Klintworth, Catherine Wood, and Betty Locklear. Survivors include her nieces Patricia Carter of Kingsland and Angela and Jimmy Griffin of Knightdale, N.C; nephews, Fred and Glenda Wood of Putney and David and Melissa Armbrust of Albany and several other family members that she greatly loved.
