Alma Merline Clements, 87, of Albany, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday December 19, 2015 at the Sumner City Cemetery. Born November 15, 1928 in Moultrie, Mrs. Clements was the daughter of the late Nathan Christmas and Pearl Hall Christmas. Merline was a loving and devoted wife, mother, nanny, sister and friend. She was full of love and touched so many hearts with her presence. Her family will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. She cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8, So we are always in good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with The Lord! She is survived her 6 children and their spouses, William and (Ginny) Clements of Sale City, GA, Chesley and (Nina) Clements of Sale City, GA, (Russell) and Peggy DeLorme of Sylvester, GA, (Paul) and Betty Minatree of Jasper, GA, Joseph Clements of Jasper, GA and Terry and (Joy) Clements of Dacula, GA; brother, Otis Christmas of Melbourne, FL; sisters, Agnes McCardle of Lake City, FL and Latrelle Milner of Putney; 21 Grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren . In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clements was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elbert Clements. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery.
