Anna Fowler Reel Butler, 88, of 2213 Watergate Court, Albany passed away Friday, May 1, 2009. Graveside funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Butler will be conducted in Franklin, VA. on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Poplar Springs Cemetery. Anna Fowler Reel Butler was born July 25, 1920 in Franklin, VA. to the late Willie Ray Fowler and Elnora Cutchins Fowler. Mrs. Butler was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse W. Reel; granddaughter, Renea Reel; two brothers, Randolph and James Fowler and one sister, Armorel Johnson. Survivors include her husband, David Butler of Albany; son, J.W. Reel, Jr. and his wife, Sylvia; two grandchildren, Charles Reel and Cindy Ellington; one great-grandson, Dylan Ellington and four nieces. The family will receive friends following the service in Virginia at the cemetery.
