Anna Davis

Anna Mae Davis, 86, of Albany passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Palmyra Nursing home. Graveside funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Davis will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 20, 2009 at the graveside of Riverside Cemetery with Minister Bill Brown officiating. Anna Mae Carnes Davis was born May 23, 1923 in Cordele to the late Les Carnes and Lucy Harden Underwood. Mrs. Davis was the widow of Roy Davis who passed away on October 19, 2005. She was a member of Kinchafoonee Baptist Church and loved being a foster parent for many years. She will be remembered as a loving mother who loved all of her family. In addition to her parents and husband two children, Mae Brown and Chan Huburt Davis and one granddaughter preceded Mrs. Davis in death. Gina Marie Davis. Survivors include her children, Lee Roy Davis and his wife, Doyce of Albany, Bobbie Buffi and her husband Ritchie of Albany, Michael Tim Davis and his wife, Shirley of Albany, Duane Thomas Davis of Thomasville; son-in-law, Minister Bill Brown of Albany; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, C.H. Carnes and his wife, Ruby; sister, Rena Marlow of Gainesville, GA.; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. nbsp; nbsp;
