Ms. Annelis Howze, 79, of Albany, peacefully passed away on August 19, 2021, at her home. According to her wishes, all services will be private. Born February 4, 1942, in Wilderswil, Switzerland she was the daughter of the late Ernst Gruber and Rose Vogeli Gruber. As a young girl, her family moved to America and she spent her teenage years in Monroe, Wisconsin. After graduation, she moved to Chicago, Illinois where she attended beauty school and became a talented beautician. She met her husband, who was an army recruiter, in the early 70’s and together they moved to Albany in the early 80’s and began a family. Annelis was known as a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ernie Gruber. Survivors include her two children, Deborah Golden and Ray Howze Jr. both of Albany; brothers, John and Pete Gruber; grandchildren, Jeffrey Golden and Robert Golden; and great-grandchildren, Emma Rose Golden and Ayden Golden.
