Annie (Franklin ) Krause

Mrs. Annie Franklin Krause, 88, of Albany, passed away Monday, November 02, 2015 in Albany. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Hall Hall Funeral Home. Born March 10, 1927 in Decatur County, Georgia, Mrs. Krause was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Matilda Whitaker Smith. After graduating from Pine Hill School in Decatur County Georgia, Mrs. Krause moved to Albany and went to Perry Business School. In her younger years she enjoyed making clothes and sewing. She retired with over 37 years as head payroll specialist with Coats Clark. A proud supporter of The DAV, Mrs. Krause drove many to Dublin to their appointments for over 13 years. She was also involved with the American Legion, Moose Lodge and The VFW. Mrs. Krause was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Krause was preceded in death by her two grandsons, David and Paul White. Survivors include her husband, Arlyn Krause; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Susan Bateham of Sylvester and Fred and Barbara Goolsby of Milledgeville; daughters, Jean Norris of Nashville, TN, Verdie Bullock and Ann Long both of Albany; grandchildren, Mark, Merredith, Joanna and Jason; and great-grandchildren, Alana, Elijah, Nadya and Josephine. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 5 to 7 at Hall Hall Funeral Home.
