Anthony Jay Powell

Anthony Jay Powell, 39, of Albany, peacefully passed away on the morning of Friday, November 1, 2024. 

The family will host a memorial service honoring his life at a later date. 

Born July 8, 1985, in Albany, he was the son of the late Raymond “Ray” Powell and Teresa Webb. Anthony worked as a talented carpenter for over 20 years with Old South Construction. He then earned his CDL license and began driving for Farmer’s Bulk Supply which he did up until he became sick. He was passionate about music and was a self-taught musician who loved playing the guitar and drums. A loving husband, father, brother, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jessica Johnson Beach of Albany; children, Anthony “AJ” Jay Powell Jr., Nathan, Elijah, Jeremy, Isabella and her husband Landon, Brooklyn, and Nevaeh; siblings, Anna Powell and Billy “BJ” Webb and his wife Angel; one grandson on the way, Waylon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends who loved him dearly. 

Hall and Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Powell family.
