Arthur D. ''Dewayne'' Sweat

Mr. Arthur “Dewayne” Sweat, of Sylvester, formerly of Albany, passed away at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital on Thursday, June 21, 2018. A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home in Albany, GA at 4:00p.m. Rev. Bruce English will officiate. Mr. Sweat was born in Albany on December 22, 1947 to the late Arthur J. and Frances Tyson Sweat. He was an avid Auto Racing fan and had worked for “Big Daddy Ellis Milner” on his Drag Racing Team. To say he loved working as an auto mechanic is saying it mildly. Dewayne also loved being with his family and hanging out with his friends. Arthur D. Sweat is survived by his brother, Carroll (Susan) Sweat of Sylvester; his sisters, Dianne Milling (Phillip) of Albany, Mary Gaughf (Chuck) of Albany, Martha Johnson (Jerry) of Valdosta, and Karen Pridgen (Darien) of Albany, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
