Arthur John Rupp

Mr. Arthur John Rupp, 80, of Albany, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Services will be private for the family only. Arthur was born May 2, 1940, in Wisconsin to the late Arthur Frederick Rupp and Hildegarde Elizabeth Immerfall Rupp. He was a skilled and talented carpenter and spent many years as a self-employed roofer and installing vinyl siding on houses. His family and friends considered him a “jack of all trades.” Arthur was of the Lutheran faith and resident of Albany for the past 50 years. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Chip Gaier. Survivors include his significant other, Jennie Rolison; his daughters, Sandra Gaier, and Susan Knight both of Midland City, Al; special step-daughter, Susie Rolison; sisters, Mary Lou Grebel and her husband Richard Grebel, Sr. of Albany, and Shirley Ann Hoffman and her husband Virgil Hoffman of Beaver Dam, WI; grandchildren, Jeana Breuer (John), Tonya Spivey (Javon), Tony Spivey Jr. (Autumn), and Toby Spivey; special granddaughter Kristy Smalley; great-grandchildren, Natalie Breuer, Terrance Smith, Jr., Kenleigh Scott, Landrick G’vaughn Scott; and special great-grandchildren, Rylan and Corvin Smalley; local nieces and nephews Richard Grebel Jr. (Coni), Michael Grebel Sr. (Marie), Daniel Grebel (Barbara), Dawn Guancaile, and Tina Thomas (Erwin); and a host of extended family and friends.
