Arthur Sweat

Arthurnbsp;James Sweat, 85, of Albany passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at his home while surround by his family.Funeral services werenbsp; conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 28, 2009 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. The Reverend Sterling Fallin and Reverend Kay Skandamis officiated with interment following at 3:00 PM at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Berlin.nbsp;Arthur James Sweat was born July 17, 1923 in Nashville, GA to the late James Carroll and Nellie Ricks Sweat. He was a truck driver for over 45 years and was known as a hard worker. Mr. Sweat was of the Holiness faith and loved attending the house of God. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, volunteering with Toys for Totts and spending time with his family and friends. nbsp;Mr. Sweat was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Mrs. Frances Tyson Sweat and his brothers and sisters. Survivors include his sons, DeWayne Sweat of Albany and Carroll Sweat and his wife, Susan of Sylvester; daughters, Dianne Milling and her husband, Phillip of Albany, Mary Gaughf and her husband, Charles of Sylvester, Marti Johnson and her husband, Jerry of Valdosta and Karen Sweat-Mason of Albany; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;
