Asa L. Hutchison

Mr. Asa Hutchison was called to his Heavenly home December 16, 2017. Asa was born August 19, 1932; the 18th and last child of Warren and Lillie Hutchison of Douglas, GA. He enjoyed a 20 year career in the United States Air Force, serving in such places as Germany, Korea, Turkey and Washington DC. Afterwards he settled in Albany, GA where he had another distinguished career making doors and windows for Giles Builder Supplies. Asa was preceded in death by his mom and dad as well as his seventeen siblings. He is survived by Ruth, his wife of 64 years and his children Steve Hutchison of Darien, GA, Toni Collier of Albany, GA and Mark Hutchison of Fort Mill, SC. Asa also is survived by four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and hordes of nieces and nephews. Asa was a beloved member of the First Baptist Church of Putney, GA where he served as an usher. Graveside services will conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Floral Memory Gardens. Rev. Danny Evans will officiate and Military honors will be presented.
