Barbara Ann Mcmurphy

Mrs. Barbara Ann McMurphy, 67, of Albany, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Bro. Mark Maynard will officiate with interment to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Born May 23, 1947 in Moultrie, Mrs. McMurphy was the daughter of the late Earl William Rice and Ella Mae O’Hearn Jackson. She was a nursing aid for many years and was Baptist by faith. She will be remembered as a loving Nana that will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. McMurphy was preceded in death by her husband, George McMurphy and brother, Earl William Rice, Jr. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Virginia and Jim Engle of Leesburg and Georgia Hope of Albany; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Junior Shiver of Moultrie; 5 grandchildren, Jesse Jaime, Jonathon McMurphy, Cody Jaime, Maria Jaime and Michael Hope and 2 great-grandchildren, Jonathon David McMurphy, Jr. and Tyson Jaime. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, May 13, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
