Mrs. Beatrice “Bea” Corbitt Carter, 83, of Albany, GA, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Jackie Cabaniss officiating. Following the service, Mrs. Carter will be laid to rest beside her husband in Floral Memory Gardens. Born June 9, 1935 in Jeff Davis County, Mrs. Carter was the daughter of the late Harim and Victoria Corbitt. She loved the Lord dearly and enjoyed attending church at Salem Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. In her free time she loved to cook, sew, shop, and she especially enjoyed talking on the phone with her sister and friends. Mrs. Carter was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by all. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Carter and her sister, Madeline Worth. Survivors include her three sons, James Carter Jr. (Peggy), David C. Carter (Connie), Robert A. Carter (Trece); five grandchildren, Jill Carter, Chad Carter (Amanda), Kevin Carter (Jessie), Asia L. Cook, and Allen Mykel Carter; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Lola Harrell; and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family will gather at the house of James and Peggy Carter at 6003 Miltie Street, Albany, GA 31705. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.hallandhallfh.com.
