Betty (Croft ) Jacobs

Mrs. Betty Jane Jacobs, 83, of Douglas, GA and formerly of Albany, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Dr. Charlie Rouse will officiate with interment to follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Born June 29, 1933 in Pelham, Mrs. Jacobs was the daughter of the late Willis and Jewel Carroll Croft. She was a homemaker and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Albany. She was a member of the Ladies of Veterans of foreign wars number 2785 in which she served as past president. She was also past president of the second district Ladies VFW. She was a charter member of D.A.V.A Unit Worth County number 40. Mrs. Jacobs was a former board member with March of Dimes and Special Olympics volunteer with the Red Cross. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by her husband, Glen D. Jacobs; sons, Kenneth and Joseph Bush; brothers, Sonny, Carroll and John Croft and sister, Hazel Smith. Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, James and Shelia Croft of Winder, GA; niece and her husband, Patsy and Bobby Heath of Tallahassee, FL; granddaughter, Kimberly and Jeremy Vickers of Ambrose, GA and two great-grandsons, Lane and Landon. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Hall and Hall Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
