Betty Jean Haire

Betty Jean Haire, 77, of Albany, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at her home. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010 in the Chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens. Elder Chad Orsquo;Quinn will officiate. Born March 31, 1932 in Coleman County Alabama, Mrs. Haire was the daughter of the late John Russell Strickland and Tommie Lou McCrary Strickland. She was a member of Irwinville Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and reading. Mrs. Haire retired from Flint River Textile. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Survivors include her daughter, Donna G. Senn; sons, Wayne Haire, Larry Haire and Howard Haire, brother, John Russell Strickland, Jr.; sister, Pat Hancock; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haire was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Haire and daughter, Elizabeth A. Nunn. The family will receive friends at Hall and Hall Funeral Home on Sunday, March 7th from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
