Betty Ruth (Allen) Evans

Mrs. Betty Ruth Evans, 85, of Albany, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 26, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM, Sunday, December 29, 2013 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Her sons, Rev. John Evans and Rev. Clyde Evans will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. The family will have a private committal service following the service at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Sylvester. Born September 5, 1928 in Vienna, Mrs. Evans was the daughter of the late Lee Forrest Allen and Ethel Mae Turner Allen. She was a homemaker and ministers wife. She was a faithful member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Clifford Clyde Evans, Sr. Survivors include her children, Rev. Clyde and Jan Evans of Cochran, Rev. John and Virginia Evans of Arabi, Linda and Bobby Smith of Albany and Janie and Vic Anderson of Winter Haven, FL; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
