Bobby Ray Bullington

Mr. Bobby Ray Bullington, 78, of Albany, passed away, Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Riverside Cemetery. A native of Albany, Mr. Bullington was the son of the late Perry Lewis Bullington and Susan James Bullington. He was a 1955 graduate of Albany High School and was an avid fan of football. He began coaching with Midget League and then was assistant coach with Riverview Academy in the early 70’s. He paid for and designed the Riverview Trojan Football field. Mr. Bullington was a self employed building contractor for many years, having owned Bullington Rental’s. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his loving wife, Gail Johnson Bullington; son, Russell Glenn Bullington of Albany; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and George Smock of Terr Haute, IN, Donna Golden of Americus and Sharon and Don Taylor of Albany; 11 grandchildren, Shannon Bullington, Glenn Bullington, William Bullington, April Lasseter Hargrove (Chris), Dianne Taylor Frisbee (Josh), Robin Taylor, Evangeline McKay (David) Charlotte Smock, Justina Adams (Auston), Martha Smock and Priscilla Smock and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bullington was preceded in death by his son, Steven Ray Bullington; brothers, George Bullington, Perry Bullington and Shorty Bullington and sisters, Dorothy West and Lucille Beaver. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
