Brenda Harris Dawson

Mrs. Brenda Harris Dawson, 72, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 6, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Charles “Bub” Blanton and Rev. Karen Carr will officiate with interment to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery. Born December 1, 1946, in Albany, Brenda was the daughter of the late Hoke and Nancy Coleman Harris. She worked as a secretary for the city clerk’s office in Baconton and was a member of Springhill Free Will Baptist Church. She attended for the past two years Open Door Fellowship in Sylvester with her children. Brenda loved The Lord and adored all her family. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Dawson; children, Melissa Whiddon (Terry) of Albany, Rachael Allegood (Kenneth) of Doerun and Brent Williams of Baconton; step-children, Alice Rooks (Kevin), Lincoln Dawson (Melissa), Matt Dawson (Amanda) and Steven Williams; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Gail Rodriguez, Sharon Abercrombie and Kathi Lewis; 1 brother, Danny Harris; several nieces and nephews.
