Bruce Hancock Sr

Mr. Bruce W. Hancock Sr., 63, of Albany passed away at Phoebe Sumter Hospital in Americus on October 9, 2014. Graveside services for Mr. Hancock will be conducted at 11:00 a.m.; Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Riverside Cemetery in Albany, GA. Rev. Robin Chaplin will officiate. Born October 7, 1951 in Cuthbert, GA, Mr. Hancock was the son of the late George Hancock Sr. and Clara Bell Hunt Hancock. He worked for many years in the construction industry. Before he became disabled, Mr. Hancock was known to be a very hard working man. Mr. Hancock was a former member of East Albany Church of God and will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Gregg Knight of Albany; his son Bruce W. Hancock Jr. of Savannah; his brothers George Hancock of Leesburg, and Joe Camp of Sylvester; his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Ed Palmer of Sylvester; his granddaughters, Chastity Pickard, Cherish Roth and Britney Hancock all of Leesburg; and his great-granddaughter, Abbygail Pickard. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
