Carl H. Wilson

Carl H. Wilson Jr., 73, of Pelham, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011 at his daughter’s residence in Pelham. Born May 30, 1937 in Savannah, Mr. Wilson was the son of Carl Herman Wilson Sr. and Hazel Smith Wilson who both preceded him in death. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force and worked for many years as a sheet metal worker. Carl loved fishing and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Wilson of Pelham; his son Clyde Wilson and wife Glenda of Leesburg; his daughters, Diane Sirmons and husband Mark of Williston, FL, Cynthia Ann Mays and husband Jim of Valdosta, Tiffany Mein and husband Stephen of Pelham; stepson Steve Voorhees and wife Shannon of Ashburn; step daughters, LaVonne Voorhees of Baconton, Bennae Espanda of Dallas, TX, Annette Nutt and husband Oscar of Mesquite, TX, Georgina Butler and husband Duane of Hampton, GA; sisters Sandra McGlemory and husband George of Albany, and Carl Carter of Warner Robbins; and numerous grandchildren.
