Mrs. Carolyn Alderman Butler, 92, of Albany, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2017 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Willis will officiate with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Born May 14, 1924 in Colquitt County, GA, Mrs. Butler was the daughter of the late Corbett and Rosa Duncan Alderman. She worked for several years, but was most proud of being a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, fishing and cooking for her beloved family. She was a virtuous women who loved God and her family dearly. Mrs. Butler was a faithful member of Mercedes Baptist Church for many years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Butler; brothers, Thomas and Wendell and sisters, Barbara Gail, Edna and Nell. She was survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Frank O. Butler of Albany; children, Linda Butler Price of Albany, Alvin David Butler and Barbara of Jasper, FL, Marie Jasper and David of Columbus, Irvin Butler and Carol of Lake Blackshear, Nancy Butler Lamb of Albany and Danny Butler and Kari of Atlanta; 3 sisters, Mary Ann Lawrence of Texas, Betty Mulford of Florida and Virginia Rowe of Albany; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
