Charles Studley Jr

Mr. Charles F. Studley, Jr., 69, of Leesburg, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at his home with his loving wife by his side. Born May 23, 1946, Mr. Studley, was the son of the late Charles F. Studley, Sr. and Shirley Avis Graves Studley. He served as a decorated Navy Seal who served our county faithfully. After his time with the service he worked for years as a firefighter and paramedic in Naples, FL. He owned and operated his own commercial nursery in Arcadia, FL. After he raised his boys that he was very proud of he started inventing items for tactical services useful to swat teams, military personnel and many civilian citizens. After working security in Iraq, he traveled the world, living a full and adventurous life. In the later years, he lived offshore in the Keys with his wife and enjoyed escorting kayak tours. Filled with happiness, Mr. Studley’s love of nature and the outdoors was tirelessly shared with all. He was a very brave, courageous and kind man that will be sorely missed. Survivors include his loving wife, Marcia Pitts Studley of Leesburg; sons, Dr. Charles Studley, III and Jason Studley and his wife, Renee all of Murphy, FL; his only grandchild, Chloe Studley of Murphy; step-son, Shane Farmer and his wife, Laney of Birmingham, AL; brother, Mark Studley and his family of Havana, FL. The family appreciates all of the love and acts of kindness and respectfully asks to be allowed to privately grieve at this difficult time. Marcia wishes to thank all of the supportive staff in Lee County for their love and understanding to allow her to be with her husband in his final days.
