Charles Wood Sr

Mr. Charles Randall Wood, Sr., 62, of Albany, passed away, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in the Chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Tab Howell will officiate. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Bethel Cemetery in Clay County with military honors. Born July 8, 1952, in Albany, Mr. Wood was the son of the late Joe Murray Wood and Catherine Leslie Klintworth Wood. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps and worked for Flint River Cotton Mill, Procter and Gamble and was a Truck Driver. He enjoyed fishing with his brother, Fred and liked to watch T.V. Charles gave his life to Christ in 2002 after the passing of his mother and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Putney. Survivors include his children, Charles Randall Wood, Jr., Daniel J. Wood and Catherine Dawn Wood Lawson; one granddaughter, brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Glenda Wood of Albany; two aunts, Vernell Klintworth of Leesburg and Alice Clevenger of Kingsland; several nieces, nephews cousins and his church family. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
