Charlotte Laverne (Lashley ) Young

Mrs. Charlotte Laverne Young, 65, of Albany, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 17, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Salem Baptist Church in Worth County. Rev. Jackie Cabaniss will officiate with interment to follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Born November 21, 1948 in Sylvester, Mrs. Young was a homemaker that loved all her family dearly. Her grandchildren were everything to her and she will also be remembered as loving wife, mother and sister. Mrs. Young was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Survivors include her loving husband of forty-six years, John Young of Albany; father and mother, Grover and Margie Lashley of Albany; son, Stephen Young of Albany; daughters, Stephanie (Justin) Keating of Saint Augustine, Shera (Corey) Carr of Albany; brother, Charles (Nell) Lashley of Albany; sisters, Audrey (Perry) Bruner of Albany; Celyse Champion of Cordele, Alyse (Marvin) Pensala of Waukegan, IL, Selena (Randy) Sumner of Sylvester; grandchildren, Corey, Cheyenne, Lashley, Jordyn, Addison, and Haley. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Monday, January 20, 2014 at the funeral home.
