Christine Askew Hall

February 20, 1918 — December 29, 2010

Christine Askew Hall, 92, of Sylvester, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 with her family by her side. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2010 at Sunnyside Baptist Church. The Reverend Bobby Harrell will officiate and entombment will follow in the Crown Hill Mausoleum. Christine Askew Hall was born on February 20, 1918 in Folkston, Georgia, daughter of the late Fred Davis Askew, Sr. and Kitty Haralson Askew. Mrs. Hall was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church for over forty years and was a member of the Gleanor’s Sunday School Class at Sunnyside. Mrs. Hall was known to be an encouragement to many in her life. Surly our loss is Heaven’s gain. In addition to her parents, her husband, Winston C. Hall who passed away in 1994, preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Dale Hall and wife, Marie of Sylvester, Tommy Hall and his companion, Bonnie Boyle of Sylvester, Ronald Hall of Auburn, AL., Betty Bowling and husband, Tom of Sylvester, Barbara Sadler and husband, Steve of Sylvester, and Norma Jean Johnson and husband, Ron of Pinehurst, NC.; brother, Gene Paul Askew and wife, Eleanor of Orlando, FL; sister, Mable Johnson of Georgiana, AL; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. at Sunnyside Baptist Church.
