Clinton Janes, 48, of Albany, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011 at his residence. Born January 21, 1963 in Albany, Mr. Janes was the son of Paul E. Janes and Angeline Harrell Janes who both preceded him in death. He worked for many years for Cooper Tire. Clinton loved fishing and hunting and all types of sports. He also enjoyed playing and coaching sports with his sons and was a mentor to many of the youth that he coached and knew from his neighborhood. Clinton taught his nephews and nieces to hunt and fish as well as respect to others. It is commonly said that Clinton never met a stranger. Survivors include his wife, SueAnn of Albany; his sons Clinton B. Janes and wife Missy of Sylvester, and Joshua Janes of Albany; his brother James Williams and wife Betty of Albany; his sisters, Mary Davis and husband Steve of Albany, Agnes Dauphinias and husband Steve of Albany, Darlene Abney and husband Andy of Sylvester, Shirley Medders and Don Nelson of Atlanta, TX and Lacy Sanders and husband Jim of Crawfordville, FL; seven grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the family home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of love may be made to his wife and sons.
