Daniel Dowitt Hoggard

Mr. Daniel D. Hoggard, Sr., 60, of Albany, passed away, Monday, April 13, 2015 at Emory University Hospital Midtown. Services honoring the life of Mr. Hoggard will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Plantation Parkway Assembly of God, 130 Mcintosh Rd. Leesburg, GA. 31763. Pastor Ben Steffens will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Born March 10, 1955 in Atlanta, Mr. Hoggard was the son of the late Edward Broughton and Shirley Vawter Hoggard. He proudly served his country and retired from The United States Navy and was employed with various companies for over twenty years in Human Resources Management. He greatly enjoyed golfing, traveling, but the greatest joy in his life was his family. He was a member of Plantation Parkway Assembly of God and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 35 years, Amparo Ruiz Hoggard of Albany; sons, Javier Hoggard and Sarah of Castel Rock, CO, Daniel D. Hoggard, Jr. and Bridget of Port Orchard, WA; daughters, Eva Luna and Teresa of Englewood, CO; Maria Steuben and Joel of Flowery Branch, GA, Danielle Coffell of Savannah, GA., Brooke Lovern and Dave of Albany; brother, Stan Hoggard and Traci of Dunedin, FL; sister, Beth Fleeman and Randy of Dunedin, FL; uncle, Bill Hoggard and Fran of Clifton, TX and 18 grandchildren that he loved dearly.
