Daniel Webster Robinson, Jr.

Mr. Daniel Webster Robinson, Jr., 79, of Sylvester, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Oakey Grove Baptist Church, in Berrien County, GA. Rev. Phillip Robinson will officiate with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. Born November 19, 1941, in Berrien County, GA, Mr. Robinson was the son of the late Daniel Webster Robinson, Sr. and Lucy McMillian Robinson. He retired from Coats and Clark as a mechanic and enjoyed farming. He enjoyed fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his beloved family. Mr. Robinson was a member of Oakey Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Myrtice Hancock Robinson; brother, Donald Troy Robinson; and son-in-law, Troy Z. Douglas. Survivors include his children, Marie Douglas of Sylvester, Judi Cauley and Brian of Albany, Steve Robinson and Shannon of Cusseta, and Russell Robinson and Libby of Leesburg; siblings, Jeanette Avera of Moultrie, Arthur Robinson and Jane of Adel, Carolyn Curtis of Sylvester, and Wayne Robinson of Tifton; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and brother-in-law, Melvin Hancock and Deborah of Cumming.
