Mr. David L. Kohr, 63, of Baconton, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 after a long struggle with dementia. A memorial service to honor his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Born October 23, 1955 in York, PA, Mr. Kohr was the son of Mr. Sylvester Kohr and the late Sandra Gillen Kohr. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, and later went to work Civil Service at the Marine Corps Logistics Base of Albany where he retired after 36 years of faithful service as a computer specialist. He was proud to be a member of the American Legion. Mr. Kohr was a private man, and one of few words. In his free time he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, hunting, fishing, and his beloved dog, Maggie. A loving husband, son, brother, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include his wife, Linda Grimes-Kohr of Baconton; father, Sylvester Kohr of Big Pine Key, FL; brother, Kenneth Kohr and his wife Tammy of PA; and nephew Dirk Kohr of PA. The family would like to give a special thanks to Magnolia Manor and Phoebe Sumter Hospice for their special care of Mr. Kohr. Hall and Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Kohr family.
