Dennis R. Howell

Mr. Dennis Ross Howell, 81, of Albany, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Crossview Care Center in Pineview, GA. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Colquitt County. Rev. Robin Chaplin will officiate. Born December 9, 1932, Mr. Howell was the son of the late Fred and Ada White Howell. He served his country in the United States Army and retired from the Union number 72 as a pipe fitter. He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar and fishing. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Acree. Survivors include his sons and a daughter-in-law, Ricky and Debra Howell and John Howell all of Albany; daughter, Denise Cannon of Leesburg; grandchildren, Josh and Jacob Cannon both of Leesburg; sisters, Opal Parker of Jacksonville, FL and Frances Phillips of Sale City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2014 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
