Derek Lawrence Bird

Mr. Derek Lawrence Bird, 35, of Leesburg, passed away, December 31, 2012. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Friday, January 11, 2013 at the graveside of Pelham City Cemetery in Pelham. Pastor Bobby Paul will officiate. Born April 21, 1977 in Albany, Mr. Bird had worked in construction and attended Albany Family Worship Center. He enjoyed playing horse shoes and loved spending time with his children. Derek was preceded in death by his brother, Craig Wills. Survivors include his mother, Mary Butler Bird of Pelham; father, Willie Lawrence Bird of Albany; girlfriend and mother of his children, Kimberlie Miller of Leesburg; children, Austin Bird, Dustin Bird, Kalynn Bird, Haley Bird and Christian Manriquez; sisters, Tammy Moyer and Cindy Butler.
