Donald Monroe Smith

Mr. Donald Monroe ldquo;Catfishrdquo; Smith, 60, of Baconton and formerly of Fitzgerald, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.,Tuesday, November 9, 2010 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Pastor Glen Robinson will officiate and interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Born on May 8, 1950 in Fitzgerald, Mr. Smith was the son of the late Talmadge Monroe Smith and Mary Lonnese Pitts. He loved hunting, fishing, and working on cars. His life was his family and he will be greatly missed by them all. Survivors include his wife of fourty-two years, Fonnie Smith of Baconton; children, Lonnese Moreau and Husband, Chris of Douglasville and Tracy Golden of Albany; grandchildren, Brittany Moreau, Mariah Moreau, Alayna Golden, Annslee Golden and Alli Golden; sisters, Evelyn Durst of Warner Robins and Debra Baggett of Albany; brother, Dallas Smith of Leesburg. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 p.m. until 9: 00 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
