Donna Gail Medders

Mrs. Donna Gail Medders, 71, of Poulan, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Willson Hospice House in Albany.

A private graveside funeral service for close friends and family will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in the Poulan Cemetery.

Born December 11, 1953, in Rome, GA, Donna was the daughter of the late Donald Weyman Terry and Lovella Lambert Terry. She had a special bond with her maternal grandparents and as a little girl she spent many summers with them and her cousins in Rome. Coming from a military family, Donna learned resilience from a very young age because of the many times she and her family were relocated. With every move, she would make new friends, some of whom she maintained contact with many years later. It has often been said that Donna never met a stranger. If she didn't know you when she got there, she definitely knew you before she left. She retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base where she worked for many years as a secretary. Donna loved her family more than anything and lived for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed talking and spending quality time with the people who meant the most to her. She loved big and always knew how to make you feel special. A loving wife, mother, Mimi, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Brad Medders of Poulan; daughters, Tammy Belflower (Kevin) of Sycamore and Lyndsey Tison (Don) of Homerville; four grandchildren, Ross Belflower, Bayley Belflower, William Tison, and Julia Tison; brother, Steve Terry (Sara); sisters, Debbie Stephens and Lynn Montgerard (Lance); special cousin who was like a sister, Sylvia Hembree; and a host of extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Hall and Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Medders family.
