Mrs. Dorothy Jean Cherry, 72, of Albany, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Robin Chaplin will officiate with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Born December 20, 1944 in Alabama, Mrs. Cherry was the daughter of the late Roland and Lizzie Mahler Pope. She worked for several years with Coats and Clark and Bob’s Candy. She loved God, her family, her plants and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Sheila Harrelson of Baconton; daughter, Lynn Henderson of Atlanta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Preston Pope of Dawson, Fred Pope and Ann of Glenwood, AL and Billy Wayne Pope and Vickie of Columbus; sister and brother-in-law, Marie Hayden and Richard of Arkansas; grandchildren, Steven and Jessica Harrelson, Brandon and Stephanie Harrelson and Ansley Henderson and great-grandchildren, Hannah Kate Harrelson and Emma Gray Harrelson.
