Mrs. Torrence was born on December 18, 1931, in Binghamton, NY to the late Benjamin and Rita Warner. She was a proud Marine’s wife and a strong woman who loved her family dearly, which she was very devoted to. She loved spending time with her grandchildren taking them to the park, cooking for them, and telling them all about their family history and adventures. Mrs. Torrence taught school in her early adult life but when her children got older, she was a dedicated homemaker. Before her health hindered her, she also loved QVC shopping and gardening. Above all she loved her Lord and Savior.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Logan Jon Torrence, of Albany; her daughter, Paula Torrence Castongia of Albany; her grandchildren, Brandon (Stacie) Torrence, Andrea Torrence, Patricia (Aaron) Surface, Charles Hartzo III, Tiffany (Josh) King; her great grandchildren, Nathan Surface, Mackenzie Torrence, Caiden King, Kason King, Ansleigh Torrence, Jaxon King, Abigail Surface, Ethan Torrence; her niece Barbara Bodman; her nephews Alan (Esther) Bodman and Rick Hudson; and a host of family and friends in New York.

Mrs. Torrence was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Torrence, and her parents.

Hall and Hall Funeral Home was given the honor to serve the Torrence Family.
