Drafus Ezell

Drafus Ezell, 97, of Albany, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 at Palmyra Nursing Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, Pastor Bill Suggs will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Mr. Ezell was born May 17, 1912 in Geneva County, AL to John and Sally Yancey Ezell and moved to Albany in 1978. Mr. Ezell was married to the late Lessie M. Dyess Ezell. Mr. Ezell was a member of Southside Baptist Church of Albany and in his younger years enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his son, Aubrey L. Ezell and his wife Louise of Avon Park, FL, his daughter, Mrs. Edgar (Katie R. Ezell) Banks of Albany; his sister, Thelma Ezell Watson of Coolidge; his grandsons, Stanley L. Banks and his wife Emily of Putney, Edward L. Ezell and his wife Belinda of Avon Park, FL, Rex E. Wilson and his wife Donna of Leesburg; his granddaughters, Cathy L. Wilson Bullington and her husband Steve of Albany, Debbie D. Wilson Roberts and her husband Joe of Putney, Angelia K. Wilson Davis and her husband Mark of Leesburg, and Angela M. Ezell Ewing of Avon Park, FL; twelve great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife, Mr. Ezell is preceded in death by: his son, Jack E. Ezell; his daughter, Mary L. Ezell Wilson; four brothers, Henry C. Ezell, Lasphere Ezell, Fletcher Ezell, James Clayton Ezell; four sisters, Lettie B. Ezell Williford, Abbie L. Ezell Harrison, Gladys Ezell Davis, Foye Ezell McKennis; his grandson, Kenneth E. Banks; and his great granddaughter, Stacey M. Bullington.
