Duane (Carr) Palmer

Mrs. Duane Carr Palmer, 65, of Albany, passed away at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital on December 31, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services for Mrs. Palmer will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2016 in the Chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Dr. Charlie Rouse will officiate. Born December 25, 1950 in Miller County, Mrs. Palmer was the daughter of the late Marion Carr and Emma Williams Carr. She was a dedicated homemaker to her loving family. Mrs. Palmer loved creating crafts as well as reading. She also enjoyed raising dogs in her younger years. Mrs. Palmer was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was very active in many areas until her health prevented her from doing so. Mrs. Palmer will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Survivors include her husband, Larry Palmer of Albany; her son Wayne Palmer of Albany; her daughter and son-in-law, Liz and Chris Quinn of Albany; her brother, Douglas Carr of Bainbridge; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and Robert Stewart of Jacksonville, Fl, Mary and Sam Phillips of Colquitt, and Media McClendon of Colquitt; and one grand-child, Justin Quinn of Albany. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 1:00 pm for one hour prior to the funeral service. Hall and Hall Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of the Palmer Family.
