Emma Idlene (Henry ) Barfield

Mrs. Emma Idlene Barfield, 86, of Albany, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 9, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home, 324 South Mock Road Albany, GA. 31705. Rev. Bob Prince will officiate with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00 until the funeral service. Born September 25, 1927 in Colquitt, Mrs. Barfield was the daughter of the late Grady Henry and Irma Gordon Henry. She was a homemaker and member of East Albany Church of God. She loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and going to church, playing the piano and singing for his glory was her life. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barfield was preceded in death by her husband, Herchel M. Barfield; brother, Homer Hayes Henry and great-grandson, Veda Singh Negi. Survivors include her daughters, Darlene (Mike) Kramer of Guyton, GA. and Helen (Ronnie) Todd of Smithville, GA; brother, Gordon Henry of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Bonnie Wishum of Albany and Mary Etta Denton of Sylvester; grandchildren, Christy (Monte) Negi, Carrie (Justin) Hankins of Leesburg, Ronnie Todd and Kelli Todd; great-grandchildren, Ally Hankins and Nik Negi.
