Mrs. Erma Jean Dickerson Jarrell, 84, of Albany, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at her home while surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2022, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Matthew Harrell will officiate with interment to follow in the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, in Doerun. Born September 2, 1937, in Moultrie, Jean was the daughter of the late James Daniel Dickerson and Lula Mae Blackburn Dickerson. She was a loving homemaker that provided much love and care for her family. She loved taking care of children, enjoyed sewing, and cooking. She was of the Baptist faith, loved her family more than anything and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Dewayne Jarrell; son, Larry Eugene Selph; brothers, Cecil, Bobby, and Ricky Dickerson. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Wayne and Lora & Debbie Selph of Albany, Shirley Apaka of Moultrie, Stacy and Regina Jarrell of Doerun, and Ricky Jarrell of Worth County; brother, Donnie Dickerson; sisters, Charlotte Stone, Margie Hatcher, and Tammy Liggin; sister’s-in-law, Katy Dickerson, and Linda Dickerson; grandchildren, Brittany Apaka, Trey Apaka, Brandy Jarrell, Patrick Wayne Selph, Jr., Brandon Jarrell, Cody Jarrell, Leann Jarrell, and Cheyenne Jarrell; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.hallandhallfh.com.
