Eugene Quinn Sr

MSGT Eugene Fredrick Quinn, Sr., 77, of Albany, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Old St. Teresa’s Catholic Church located at 315 Residence Ave. Albany, GA. 31701(Between Jefferson and Jackson) . Father Stephen Pontzer will officiate with interment to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. this evening at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Born April 27, 1934 in Titusville, PA., Mr. Quinn was the son of the late William Frederick Quinn and Barbara Quinn. He served his country in Marines and retired after twenty-eight years of service as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, DAV and the American Legion. In addition to his parents, Mr. Quinn was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Brown Quinn and daughter, Barbara Gail Jackson. Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-laws, Reverend Eugene F. Quinn, Jr. and Saundra of Climax, Christopher Quinn and Liz of Albany and Frank Quinn of Albany; daughters, Karen McCallister of Ft. Myers, FL and Teresa Glisson of Evans, GA; grandchildren, Willie Jackson, Randolph Jackson, Guenevere Jackson, Brittany Glisson, Joseph Glisson, Richard Glisson, Amanda McCallister Marlow, Megan McCallister Anderson, Justin and Kevin Quinn; great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Ian, Chase, Braden, Isaiah, Kassidy and Abigail.
