Evelyn Jane (Morgan ) Giddens

Mrs. Evelyn “Jane” Giddens, 89, of Albany, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church in Kirkland, GA. Rev. Billy Musgrove and Rev. LeRoy Hover will officiate with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Born May 28, 1928 in Pearson, Mrs. Giddens was the daughter of the late George and Lucy Mercer Morgan. She retired from Coats and Clark and loved to cook and feed everyone. She was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Giddens was preceded in death by her husband, T.M. Giddens and brother, Aubrey Morgan. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Wendy Giddens of Albany; sisters, Alline Taylor of Albany, Euris Anthony of Albany and Eva Dell Musgrove of Axson; 2 grandchildren, Teresa Giddens Paul and Mandy Giddens Mitchell both of Albany; 3 great-grandchildren, Trinity and Perry Mitchell and Harvey Haire; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church in Kirkland.
