Frank Aaron Kimbrel

Mr. Frank Aaron Kimbrel, 70, of Albany, passed away, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. William Collins will officiate. The family will receive friends follow the service at the cemetery. Born April 10, 1945 in Arlington, GA, Mr. Kimbrel was the son of the late Ander Cleve Kimbrel and Effie Mae White Kimbrel. He was disabled from an accident in his teen years, yet never allowed this to hinder his positive outlook on life. He never seemed to meet a stranger and always had something uplifting to say. Frank enjoyed cooking, loved the outdoors and will certainly be missed by so many. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kimbrel was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Kimbrel. Survivors include his children, Cindy and Leonard Thomas of Leesburg, Yvonne Matthews of Augusta, Dennis Smith of Donalsonville, Markus Smith of Albany and Tony Smith of Perry; brothers, Howard (Bonnie) Kimbrel of Sylvester, Lewis (Vonnie) Kimbrel of Tallahassee, FL; sister, Lillian Allen of Leary; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
