Mr. Frank (Francis) George Boucher, 67, of Albany, passed away on September 14, 2009 at his home after a short illness. Frank was born in North Adams, MA, son of the late Emile and Yvonne-Pichersquo; Boucher. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Boucher, and four sisters, Lorette Luczynski, Jacqueline Boucher, Rita Boucher and Lucille Boucher. He was raised in North Adams, MA, graduated from Drury High School, attended Hudson Valley Community College and the University of Connecticut. He spent many years with the U.S. Geological Survey and completed his career as a draftsman at the Marine Base in Albany, GA. Frank was a naturally gifted musician in many venues including, guitar, all string instruments, harmonica and piano. Music was the heart and soul of his life. His legacy lives on in the musical abilities of his nieces and nephews. His love for fresh water fishing came from being raised in the Berkshires and he enjoyed it throughout his lifetime. In his later days, with great joy and peace in his heart, he reconfirmed his Christian faith which he shared with others. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Ann Hamilton Boucher of Albany and formally of Waycross, GA. brothers and sisters-in-law, Norm and Agnes Boucher of East Hampton, CT, Richard and Mary Boucher of Middletown, CT. and Donald and Marge Boucher of Enfield, CT. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat Belval of Middletown, CT., Doris and Roland Samson of Middletown, CT., Jane and Dr. C.J. Schumaker of Clinton, MD., Pauline McConnell of Rancho Cordova, CA, Ruth and Don Relude of Orleans, MA and Lorraine and Michael Bailey of Saint Augustine, FL; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Tommy Simmons of Cordele, GA. Frank is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Frankrsquo;s life will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home in Albany, GA. Pastor Tab Howell of Sunnyside Baptist Church will officiate. Interment of his remains will be at a later date at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to be made to Albany Community Hospice amp; Palliative Care, 2332 Lake Park Dr. Albany, GA. 31707.
