Glenda Kirkland (Kirkland) Harrell

Glenda Kirkland Harrell, 69, of Albany passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Shane Douglas will officiate with interment to follow at Cool Springs Cemetery in Colquitt County. Born October 29, 1946 in Albany, Mrs. Harrell was the daughter of the late Esker M. Kirkland and Mrytle Weems Kirkland. She was a healthcare caregiver for many years and loved her family dearly. She was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy, Bink, Ray, Brooks and Mike Kirkland and her sisters, Margaret Simpson, Helen Joiner, Shirley Reddick, Marjorie Kirkland and Betty Lowe. Survivors include her children, Carla Jensen and her husband, Michael of Sylvester, David Harrell and his wife, Angie of Gays Mills, Wisconsin and Carie Easter and her husband, Fred of Albany; brothers, John Kirkland, Gary Kirkland and Sonny Kirkland; sisters, Liz Pelham and Linda Goble; a special sister-in-law, Margie Kirkland and 15 grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Albany Community Hospice, 320 Foundation Lane Albany, GA. 31707. The family will be at Carla’s home at 209 Tempy Rd. Sylvester, GA. 31791.
