Mr. Gregory Thomas Wages, 54, of Mitchell County, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Floral Memory Gardens. Reverend Tab Howell will officiate and active pallbearers will be Jr. Edwards, Josh Edwards, Jonathan Edwards, Johnny McManus, Ronnie Poole and Robbie Suggs. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Mr. Wages was born August 10, 1957 in Albany, son of the late James Thomas Wages and the late Meta Ruth Ellis Wages. He worked for many years as a carpet installer and was a member of Putney First Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and going to the beach. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend. In addition to his parents his three brothers, Jerry, Gary and Bobby preceded Mr. Wages in death. Survivors include his wife, Emily Hopkins Wages; daughter and son-in-law, Ashton Wages Poole and husband, Taylor of Putney; son, Austin Gregory Wages of Mitchell County; and brother, Jimmy and his Fiancé, Trish of Albany.
