Hardy Lee Couch

Mr. Hardy Lee Couch, Sr., 93, of Albany, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Riverside Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Born November 30, 1921 in Plains, GA, Mr. Couch was the son of the late Urquhart Couch and Jewell Mangham Couch. Mr. Couch served in the United States Navy and was a successful businessman having owned Albany Lawn and Garden for many years. He loved animals and attended Avalon United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Couch was preceded in death by a son, Hardy Couch, Jr. and daughter, Jeanette Couch Allen. Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda Lou Bowerman Couch; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Karen Couch of Leesburg and Bill and Bo Williams of Register, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Tom Wiltshire of Mississippi, Elaine and Roger Jones of Thomasville, Sandra and Chuck Slack of Leesburg, Ruth Mills of Leesburg and Ann and Charles Davis of Albany; brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Marlene Couch of Hawaii; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
